Just got everything back up and going, power went off last night at 2 am back on 4.30 pm....ahhh alittle camping time...6.2 inches of rain. Farmers are in a fix, fields to wet to work and peanuts and cotton are at thier prime harvest times. From my home weather station we had winds gust recorded at 53 mph. Luckily almost no damage other than a unsitely yard which I have already cleaned up and a few bird feeders broken.
Some missing tin on the pasture shed but nothing to serious. All in all other than the wind screaming most of the night I enjoyed my the company of the GF as we just sat and talked and played music while listening to the weather radio.

Glad you didn't get much damage but sure feel for the poor farmers that can't get their crops in.

What kind of home weather station do you have? I've wanted one for a long time but the ones I've looked at and thought I'd like are in the $300 - $400 range and that's a little outside the budget right now.
