Did your congress person vote for the Marriage Protection Ammendment or against it (& for homos*xual marriages)?
Below is the roll call, if it posts.

both mine voted FOR, I,m surprised because the
last time one of them voted against. I guess some
of the good people of SC opened his eyes. LOL

Mine voted the way his district would want him to. That's what I call representation.
Chas, getting tired of politics, up here in Maine.

It probably will be in the background until about January, Chas.
Until then it is hard not to be interested in it.
Those who are not probably should just ignore them and possibly not even vote, if they have no candidate to choose.

Farmers will still be calling cows, folks will still be butchering hogs, raising chickens, counting eggs and fighting too much rain or no rain at all. Life goes on.
Interspersed in between the farm, ranch, weather, football (drivel), and music topics, a person can expect to see political topics, too. As long as folks just do it nicely, I cant see the problem myself. Having been involved in the process I find it interesting and I dont mind hearing differing oppinions and factual information. JMHO

Speaking of cattle calls, I was alittle surprised to not hear a Slim Whitman song!8^)

Slim Whitman? That's Eddy Arnold's song.
BTW, my congressman is a RINO. He voted wrong. The other one from NH (same last name as mine) evidently didn't vote. He's a bit of a RINO himself but not as bad as Bass (mine).
My two senators split earlier. Kinda surprised me to see John Sununu voting wrong and Judd Gregg on the right side. I would have predicted the opposite. But then, Jugg Head is running for reelection this year. (His opposition is a 94 year old woman. I don't think he's worried!)

I don't have the Slim Whitman verson,
but I did put the Eddy Arnold one down there.
:-)
