Your Timberdoodles show yet?
Mine have, and are making a spectacle of themslves.
Sorely disappointed though in that I only have 2 males instead of the usual 4 this year.
Maybe I souldn't have cleared so many swamp ash out of the bog, eh?

Dang flighty birds.
Remind me of The Wife...

;-)

I have seen one occasionally but am not getting the great shows I had last year. I walked right up to about 6 feet away from them last year. After he would take off, I'd move close to the spot where he left and when he landed, I'd be even closer. Too bad it's so dark you can barely see them.

Wondering now if the drought last summer affected their survival rate.
For years I have had at least 4 males here and this year just one.
Strange...

Our drought has affected my ducks on the lake! I do not have my deep diving ones because the level is down and now the Dabbers like the Malards are taking over. As soon as the rains come back it will shift back to the other types again. We thought the lake would come up this year but it is down to about 5 acres instead of allmost 12-15 in size. We have got about a 1/2+ inch of rain since January!! Another good fire season this year because the burnt grass from the last fire has fertalized this years grass and it will be tall but dry out early for the season. Mark H.
