Swollen scaley, elephant like skin on my chicken feet/legs

was wondering if anyone knows what is the cause for the description above. only 2 out of 18 birds have this condition...

Sounds like Scaley Mites to me. Get a rag good and damp with mineral oil and wipe down the legs of the affected birds. Once a day until it clears up should do it.

Thoroughly clean the coop. Remove all bedding, wash down the walls, floor and nest boxes with bleach water, and put in fresh, dry bedding. A little Sevin dust under the bedding wouldn't hurt.

Not fatal, just ugly, but will spread like wildfire.
