Just to clarify, I was just blowing off steam. I don't hang a cable for these fools, for the same reason I don't hang one for deer. I hate to injure dumb animals. (Course deer are pretty smart!)
Screaminghollow, thanx for all the info, I saved the entire post and will no doubt make good use of it.
Mudd, Yep we're posted, and the fact is in PA. you don't need to be posted to press tresspass charges. However, posted or not, if I hadn't been home and seen him come down out of the field, I would never have known who did it. State police were involved, and he's being charged. Corn picking time will tell the extent of the damage. That field will be ear corn, just so we can get a better idea of the damage. Right now it's looking like 18 acres with somewhere in the area of 10% loss.
Toolman, you stop and pick up DC, head on down, I'll build the tree stands. Here Manage this! LOL

Taken me five years to get trees growing in many areas on the perimeter of my small farm property.

Snowmobilers just run them over. Still many holes in the tree/fence line & the main road had every tree ran over with nothing ever left.

I may have to fence the main road. I also have to post a no trespassing sign every 20 ft or be sued if an injury results on that fence.

thanks for clearin that up. sorry those people dont respect your place. how about one of them remote cameras? take a picture of anyone coming through when you are on the road? i'm with you on that cable idea. no sense bringing on any more trouble than what you already got. good luck to you on this.
