Can anyone explain where the trout went? Stocked a small pond with fingerlings about 3 or 4 years ago in the fall. The following spring caught some nice 12" to 16" Trout, but nothing ever since. Are they still there? If not what happened to them? Can anyone shed light on this?

My guess would be that the water temp. got too warm over the summer and they died off. The pond needs to be fairly deep or spring fed and cold to sustain trout. If it warms much over 70 brown trout die and rainbow around 65 and brooktrout about 60.
