I really enjoy your efforts on this board...and I appreciate that you are your neighbor's keeper.

My request if you have it. The Five Blind Boys From Alabama have a rendition of "The Dimming of the Day" that is right powerful. If you don't have that one, the Neville Brothers have it out too. Most people have not heard this song. It is GOOD! Bonnie Rait has it out. Hers is good too.

Bonnie Raitt is the only one I have.
I hope you enjoy it;

Wow! Good song, I'd never heard it before : ) Lenore, about what you said on hearing old songs in commercials... I started paying attention to them today and heard one with "I wanna put on my boogie shoes" by KC & the Sunshine Band today.

Is it as good as "Water Can't Quench the Fire of Love" by Rosemary Clooney?

I dunno, Les. I can't call that one to mind at the moment. Could ya hum a few bars for me?

I think if you'll dig out your 78 RPM record of "This Old House", you'll find that tune on the other side but I could be wrong. Some of those songs on the "B" side of records were pretty bad.
My aunt always hated that song so my cousin would play it just to get her reaction. hehheh.
