I currently have a old 30-40 Craig Springfield with a Peep site, it is a Breach Side Loader, Bolt Action, Have shot it in the past, but the Stock has split on it in three different places, and I need to get it replaced.
Does Anyone know where I might find one, possibly in a newer Light weight Design, possibly a Sportsmans Version?
Please let me know, I have Looked High and Low.
Thanks..........Scott.

Gees, a 30-40 craig kicks like a mule! I used one in my younger days to put down a few deer. Man, it would it put em down! If you shot over their back and hit a hair the shockwave would put em down for an hour! Opt for a 270. Much less kick and does great iffn ya know how to shoot.

It was fun to just drop a handful of shells in the side loader!

AutionArms.com or GunBroker.com

You will have better luck if you spell it correctly ;-)

It is a .30-40 Krag or Krag-Jorgensen...Springfield model designations are M1892 or M1898...A stock is going to be a bugger to find...

watch eBay and gunbroker.com...A complete original 'Krag' can bring over $1000 in 90% condition...

Wow, Salmoneye! I just moved mine to a nicer spot in the safe! Seriously, I haven't followed prices for a few years. Mine is completely original and at least 90% cond. and one fine shooting weapon. It'll drive nails at 100 yds. Gave $175 for it 6 or 7 years ago. Wish I'd have found several at that price.

Most will go under $500, but every once in a while you see them like this, and it has 6 days to go:

Come on, Paul. You know spellin ain't ever important. Neither is punctuation.
"Eats, shoots and leaves".

Hey, I just got off the phone with Trevor. I'll be going up to see him on Thursday.

when describing a specific article, car, item, whatever, spelling does come into play.
