Saw your earlier post about the 65 Chevy.

I still have my 1965 Impala Super Sport SS Mine came out new with a 300hp 327. I still have the owners manual around here somewhere, I think it is in the glove box. Anyway, there was also a 250hp 327 and the 396 also. Mine has the 4 speed Muncey, but a floor shifted automatic was available. Mine has the dash mounted vacuum guage which was usually used with the automatic. Most 4 speed cars had tachometers in that spot. All SS versions were two door hard tops. Mine did not come equipped with posi rear end, nor power steering. I am the second owner of it, it was a year and 5 months old when I bought it.

i have had two 65 impala's but never a SS.
my cousin bought a new 65 SS mist blue with black vinal(sp) top and black interior. 327/300, muncy 4sp, bucket seats. he sold it a year later when he went into the air force.
i have SS envy!
