Its 3:36 am and Miss Jenny was already up coughing nearly every breath.I feel so helpless and useless i,m so used to her tending to me. She always knows just what to do and all i know is to hold a wet cloth to her forhead. She is running a little temp. HELP LENORE is there a empty house next to you. Just kidding Lenore but l bet if we lived next door you would be there if asked you big kind hearted sweety, Guess i,ll go back to bed when Jenny does and if she dont i wont either but i,ll have to get off line.Every one have a great day. Its really cool here in west georgia. James

Good Day to you, James, it's cloudy and dark here..the sun's nowhere to be found. I like it, though..'cause is not warm up here in the mountains today.

Take Care!

Wish I was closer James I would be over with a pot of chicken and dumplings...Has Ms. Jenny been to the doctor?? Oh never feel useless James...I know when I am sick just knowing that Matt is there makes me feel better...It is cool here also and wet...although the sun is trying to peak out...I love the cooler weather but it sure makes this old arthritis hurt...and that SS in MAtt's back aches..
James, both MAtt and I are "disabled" but we plod along and what he can't do I try and do and what I can't he does...I have limited use of one shoulder...Which trying to do anything one handed is hard but I am learning to adapt..and MAtt's back is held together with metal rods and screws..Going to learn to milk one handed too...If MAtt ever lets me near his cow..lol..
I am a firm beleiver in Vicks salve...Rub it on her chest and put on a tee shirt and the bottoms of her feet and put on some socks..Cover up good...but if she is running a fever might need some med...Keep us posted...KatG

Good morning all. :)

James, you don't say who Miss Jenny is but I figure she must be your wife. Does she have a chest cold or bronchitis? If so, I'll tell ya what usually works for me and worked for tending to others. Assuming there are no allergies to any of this, I would recommend asperin for an adult or Ibuprofin or something of that order for the fever and lots of water and fruit juices. Also chicken soup, preferably homemade with PLENTY of onion and garlic and urge the person to breathe in the steam from it before they eat it. Another thing that works well for me is hot peppermint tea with honey for sweetener and lemon juice in it. Again, breathe in the steam from it before drinking. Peppermint is also a natural remedy for nausea. Good luck and I hope she gets to feeling better and gets plenty of rest.

You know I think about having to move into town and an assited living center one day...hope it is farther down the raod...We don't have any children so it is just me and him to tend the critters and make our way...But what I have heard from folks with youngs some of them are in about the same shape as we are..KAtG
