October 12, 2004 – Democrats in a race for a state House seat in District 82, are circulating a flyer that shows a child with disabilities with President Bush’s face running in a track race. The headline says: “Voting for Bush Is Like Running In The Special Olympics: Even If You Win, You’re Still Retarded

at a local fund raiser where prez. bush was in attendance a REPUBLICAN with a puchased ticket was barred from the fund raiser because her car had a Kerry sticker on it. her husband is a democrat, didn't matter, she was not allowed to attend and her money was not refunded!

Makes sense to me, if she would marry a Kerry supporter, she's liable to cause all kinds of hate and discontent. None of "THOSE KIND" needed here.
As for her ticket price, well after all it was a fund raiser, and she no doubt did her part.
Please thank her for her support.
Ron, who believes very little of what he reads on the net.

Was this after he and the other Bubba put an end to the "politics of personal destruction"?
Hey, I'm headed for Trevor. Gotta run.

Say hi for me...

Les, it ain't so. This is my hometown. This is something that got started on the internet and is an out right lie. I don't know who started it. I don't think that Dave Dahl did. Craig an incumbent and is running for his sixth term in the state legislature. Pols don't put out remarks about politicians in other races that don't concern them while they are running for a different office. (Does that make sense?) Craig is a decent guy....and a very smart guy. He is a deacon in his church. His wife is a local educator in the public schools. I taught both of his children and they are delightful people. This is a smear of a good guy. Email me if you wish. Take the "Junk" out.

I didn't make it up, Steve. I have no reason to doubt what you say but I think your argument is with the source I posted.

Steve from TN    Posted 10-14-2004 at 04:41:22       [Reply]  [No Email]
Les, I don't get into arguments on this or any board. I am not going to start today. This smear showed up on THIS board where I visit every day and was posted by YOU. I am setting the record straight on THIS board because I know that it is a lie that was stated on THIS board. I understand that you did not originate this smear. Someone with very little understanding of how politics works dreamed this thing up and it is being perpetuated on the internet by people who do not know Craig and what he stands for. This is all I am going to say on this matter. I don't post unless I know what I am talking about...and I do this time.

Les    Posted 10-14-2004 at 11:13:43       [Reply]  [No Email]
If what I posted is not true, I apologize, Steve. What is true is that somebody did that; somebody thought that was a way to gain political advantage. If they were on the other side, it is no less despicable.
