OK,, Do you know how to get Yahoo messenger to apply after the download? OR Mozilla?

Mozilla is going to be real complicated because it's a .tar.gz (Archive GnuZipped) file. There's a lot of steps to unzipping, un-tarring, and installing a .gz file.

Yahoo messenger on the other hand looks to have an .rpm (RedHat Package Manager) file. So find and download the one for RedHat 9. When you have it, click or double-click (depending upon which GUI you use) on it and it should automagically install. If it doesn't report back with whatever error messages you got.

I'll be bouncing in and out until ~0100 so we'll come up with something.

Do a search for ymsgrie.exe....thats the install file for messenger.

I got into this one and hit a wall..I moved the post up there.An alternate question was proposed.
