Im loading Linux Suse-9 now.The first time was in the shop.It asked for my modem (external)So I got it over plugged it .Plus had to run a phone wire there .Then hit the swich on the adapter for AC. Restarting. I get to see all the info flashing by. This one takes 2 hours to load but seems to load well.I like to see the new picture that comes up before desktop.I like Linux music better than Windows which sounds like it was recorded in a morgue.Anybody have SUSE-9? If you do.Did you load Yahoo messenger? I am learning so much that a person who tells about diffrences in Linux leaves out of the tales. For instance.Corel came first. Then Xandros,Then SUSE. Leaving out the others that are less windows like. Redhat 8.or 9?? Is difficult to get online .

Used Linux from time to time. I kept coming back to Windows becasue the hardware support in all distros of Linux is not so good. Many businesses overseas had tried Linux as a desktop alternative, but went back to Windows for the same reason.

Linux is better than the Windows 95 and 98, but not better than the Windows 2000 and XP versions, I think.

Oh yes.I loaded my new PC with Windows XP Home.Plus Xandros on the same hard drive. Then I have extra hard drives to put in it to add other Linux OSes. WHY??? Because it is FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dog gone it man, wish I was your age, would be out getting myself in all kinds of trouble chasing women. More fun than playing with puters, but can be a lot more expensive too.

Ret,,You just might be my age,(KINDA). I chased women awhile in my youth. Its kinda like fishing. You might want to toss them back in the water if they are big enough to sink the boat.Ha ha~ Caught a lot of gars and mullets. The best fish were not biting when I was fishing.

Hey Clod, look what I got out of storage!
You think you can put a computer in it?
We could take it out "on the road again".

Welll..Toolman ..Those 327 and 302 small blocks got expensive to hop up. I used to get a complete Victor gaskey set for 20 bucks with the good headgaskets.Today I bet that set is 80 bucks. This computer hoby is pretty cheap in comparison and I wont crash into a mailbox. You still going to build that Nova? I ran across a T bucket body and frame for 250 bucks. I was tempted to drag it here to the shop. There is two small block 350s out in the back ready for pistons and cranks. My boss has some good parts in the shop.Like Manifolds, cams and rockers but claims his boy might want to build a hot rod in a few months. I could keep stick them in the 350 when he's off on a trip.
