Weather guessers finnaly got it right....ground is nearly white here, this AM.....Toolmans El Nino, best get it's butt in gear, or it's gonna be a long hard winter....the term "Snowbird" is beggining to have an endearing ring to it..... any of you peoples in Aridzona need a couple new neighbors???? Naw....don't think that will happen in this the other option, just stick closer to the fire!!! have a gooder, R.E.L.

Would be great if we could push a button on EL Nino or his Mrs. to get the perfect weather for every mood and needs. Right now I could use some cold know seating by the fire..watching a good movie or reading a book. Just finished washing the windows and white tile's porch. Spent the last couple of weeks doing gardening and the tiles were brown.
It's beyond me as to why my dad chose a white tile for the huge porch. Should take a picture to look at it two weeks from now. Oh I know..I should be constant in keeping it clean.:-(

Oh ya,we're a hardy bunch alright. But I'm going to look on the bright side Toolman, after this we will likely have a decent stretch (I hope)kind of like a farmer, forever the optimist. If you get any decent air mass send it east. Got a hold of an aerial photo of the in-laws ranch, circa 1955.About 5 yrs. before they moved there.Should make a nice gift 12/25th. Dan

Gerrit, Geeez, you lucky dog. I'm gonna have to cut the grass tomorrow. The beach sure would be nice now, but my wife and I are going to Myrtle Beach over Christmas and New Years. It is a little chilly but we like it. Have a goodun.

Hi oslo.. the company for which my son is working, a hotel chain, transfered him last week to Mirtle Beach, SC. He's working weekdays in SC and going back home to Fernandina Beach for the weekends. His wife and two sons are staying in Fernandina until December.

We didn't go to the beach.. Now the Mrs wants to go to the movies.. That means I'll have to find jeans and a sweatshirt because the airco in the movie theathers is is always on full speed. Too cold! ( and I'm not kidding.. Went once in shorts and T-shirt which is my standard attire and had to leave after 30 minutes.. Ever since I wear jeans, a sweatshirt, socks etc... )

Looks like snow here too? Cold out and dark clouds. Just needs to drop a few degrees here first, won't be long now. Mark H.

Good morning Grove R, its white here this :am in the NE and still coming, just like that foul-mouth prognosticator said it would, I think its heavier your way though according to the radio. Going into town shortly, there is a company set up in one of the inns selling aerial farm photos, see if I can locate a couple from the old days. Dan

how much snow you get so far dan, see some places in the south could get as much as 8 in.

DCM    Posted 10-16-2004 at 14:17:11       [Reply]  [No Email]
Not very much, just enough to show white, 1/4 inch maybe. Its melting on the pavement and on bare ground, accumulating on the lawn. Its worse down south and central AB I understand.Dan
