About the dog post...

...I'm sorry I can't respond to everybody but I agree with all of you!

Ret, I was told four years ago that Elvis had heart worms and wouldn't last a year. There you go.

I went to the vets and arranged for installment payments and chalked it up to the cost of education.

I learned my lesson.

I went back and read your post. I can't believe it cost that much. We just had our dog fixed and had her baby teeth pulled all at the same time. It only cost $80. I can't believe it cost that much to put your dog to sleep to set it's leg but only $80 to do surgery on mine.

Cindi, I didn't read the original post but I can sorta relate with what you are saying. We had an old dog, Muffin, that was diagnosed with heartworms back in 85. We couldn't let the vet put her down then. She lasted till 97 and was purty good pet, almost family. Funny, she was taking Lasic (sp) same thing people take for fluid around heart. Everytime the doctor prescribes Lacic I think about that dog.
