Raked hay tonight with my 34 CC Case and steel wheeled 4 bar rake. It ran as quiet as a new one. Raked till 700 dark. wearing no shirt and straw hat and jeans and suspenders. It was up to 86 here today NICE

i remember raking hay on the meadow in muggy hot weather. it was still too wet to get the tractor on so we gathered the hay with a dump rake & team of horses. took 2 people, one raking & 1 stacking. toward noon when it was hottest we'd pull up to the stack every few rounds and dunk our shirts in the creamcan that held horse water. one time i saw will-o-the-wisp(swamp gas). it didn't start any fire but it floated around just above the meadow like a little fire cloud.
