Have an old pickle crock that appears to be uncracked, but when I started to make pickles in it, it started to develop salt crystals along the outside. I wipe them away, and a few hours later they're back. I can only guess that there are tiny cracks in the glazing.
Anybody know if this will affect pickle quality? Seems like a lot of salt getting lost.
Anybody know if there's a way to seal the crock for the next batch?
