On the Electorial College

As it had been explained to me:
Once upon a time; at one time many yrs ago and even before that the electoral college was made up of folks delagated to the college to travel to the capital, probably Philly at the time, when this nation was working hard to put it all together. Each electorate was given one vote representing his district according to their supposed popular wishes. In those days one college memberís vote counted in the capital was quicker than waiting for all the votes to be cast and counted in and from areas that were too difficult to timely reach, when at a time communication was either on foot or horseback over trails or roads that may or may not have even existed.
Of course it hasnít improved much in Florida, down there only adding up the individual Chadís votes count negating both the popular and college voting systems. More remarkable, some third world countries have voting systems at least two decades ahead of Floriduuhís. But for now they have Jed bush, a republican-can congress and supreme court. What could be any seemingly any fairer than that for an unbia$$ed election

Fern.... The Bitc-er-a- COMPLAING you hear now, you wouldn't hear from these same pepole, if Mr. GORE had won! If Albert was sitting in the White House today, these same "Pundits" would be talking about how the E C was "Constitutional", and "Should stay in place". My understanding is that it's a Safeguard aginst the Metro Areas running Roughshod over the Rual Areas... I must say, I doubt very much these so-called Intelectuals on the Left Wing Bit*h-Boards Rasing Hel l, could hold a Candle to the Founding Fathers intellegence. Those Pepole are hateful, and flame every poor soul who don't agree with them. Are the "Other Guys" any better? Some aren't. But until there's a Better Way, I'll stick with this one. And if Mr. Kerry wins a week from now, due to the E C.... You see a DRAMATIC turn around reguarding it's usage....

I should say a Dramatic turn around in OPINION of it's usage.

Guess I'm slow, but I can't understand what you just wrote.

Could you please try expressing your opinion again?

Well at least it was a friendly slam...The ones I don't like are the UN-friendly slams.

Makes perfect sense to me. My question is, what's the problem? If we can't steal an election now and then, why bother having politics at all?? LOL
Ron, who will take a win any way he can get one.
