After many days of rain, the waters were rising fast. The rescuers were out picking up the people in the path of the coming flood. They stopped in front of a house that had a man sitting on the front porch.

"Come with us!This whole area is going to flood soon!",they said to the man.
"No.I'll be alright.God will save me!",he replied.

Later, with ever deepening flood waters rising,a rescue team in a boat came by the same house and found the man sitting in his second story bedroom window.

The rescuers yelled at the man.,"Get in this boat!!The worst is yet to come, and if you stay here you will surely drown!!!"
"God will save me!I will stay here and wait for Him to save me!",said the man.

Hours later,a helicopter crew was patrolling the completely flood ravaged area.A crew member spotted the man clinging on to the barely visible top of his chimney, flood waters all around him.
"Hang on!We'll lower a line to you.Grab it and we'll pull you to safety!!!Hang on tight! It's your last chance!!!",the man on the loud speaker yelled.
"No!No! God will save me!"said the man for the third, and final time. And the helicopter flew away.

Next we see the man at the pearly gates. He asked of St.Peter,"I don't understand.I lived right all of my life.I trusted God to save me in my hour of need. Why did he not save me?"
St.Peter replied,"What did you expect??He sent a truck,a boat and a helicopter for you???!!!".

Have a great,non-politcal day. Mark in Kansas
