This is a favorite song of mine no matter who does it. Of course Pasty does a wonderful rendition.

I will share a little personal story about this song. I grew up in the New Orleans area and in a catholic family. I listened to blues and rock and did not even know who Patsy Cline was!

One day when I was in a place with a group from the air base at a little bar and grill. We were eating and having some beer on that hot summer afternoon. One of the guys handed me some change and said feed the jukebox. So I went and punched a few good rock songs and I also pressed one Pete Fountain song.

Being raised catholic, I did not know "A Closer Walk" from "Blue Monday", but I did know good instrumental music. When Pete played that song I fell in love with it. I must have played it three or four times; I am sure any back sliders drinking in there must have wished I would quit. LOL

i liked it some much I searched for it for several years. I finally contacted Randy's Record Shop out of Galatin, Tenn. I got the Pete Fountain LP with that song on it. A number of years later, after a few years as an athiest, I got "born again". Well there I am one day in a protestant church and they are singing "A closer Walk With Thee"! Imagine my surprise, it is still one of my faovorites.

Well that's my story. I hope you enjoy this by Patsy Cline.

Hey Lenore, You made my day. I loved it. That song always makes me feel good. And like everyone said bring on Patsy. Now here's one for the upcoming season...Elvis...Mama loved the roses. You probably don't have that one but it's a good song none the less...Thanks again Lenore and nice story.

Thanks Lenore, you can play Patsy anytime you like, as often as you like, as far as I'm concerned.

No such thing as too much Patsy Cline.
