I spend all of my day on concrete and the best work shoes I have found at the Carolina brand. The good ones can get pricey but it is money well spent, I often can get three years out of a pair and best of all the last I heard they were still made here in the good old USA.

I am an agricultural consultant and put an average of 5 miles a day on my boots walking fields. I have tried Carolina and Rocky, good boots but not great.

2 years ago I got a pair of Wolverine Dura-shocks and absolutely love them. they have been the only boots to make it through a whole season of scouting and still be comfortable. The other two brands started to bother my legs about mid september. Replaced the first set last Feb and they were still in fair to good condition, the other brands were usually in tattters by then. This set is still going strong.

I paid $80 for them and if they raised the price to $200 I'd still buy em.

Been lurking for a while, nice place you folks have here.

I avoid shoes...Shelbys new boots turned on her..she says they hurt her feet, maybe her socks were too thick, have to get her some proper socks. When winter time hits I wear my slippers outside so much I have to have several pair so I can throw them in the I hate shoes...I like to go barefoot. Wearing shoes makes me too hot...I do love I am tired now, been typing and typing...Shelby needs me to help her out on her homework, Ian is in the shower, soon he will be off to to get me a shower, man I missed this place. Toolman, gimmee some of that cool crisp night air please, its wet warm and muggy here...bleacchhhh....

slippers in winter , your sure wouldn,t get far with them here lol. not as cold tonight got a little cloud cover and that holds a little of the earths heat in, shouldn,t get much below freezing tonight, nice sleeping weather.

Thats what I like, the dry type of cold. Crisp...the kind of weather when you go outside and take a deep breath it makes you feel like you have breathed in sweet cool fresh air. I figured you'd tell me I was just not cut out for those "real" winters up Guess I would have to get a lot heavier slippers, and then slip some goolashes over them for going out to the Man...I sure missed you toolman. Everything going alright up there? We are good, just need some real fall weather, can you spare some? ;)

I was hoping you would give me an update on the dog. What kind of pill are they giving him? ANtibiotics or something? I still have that pup on my mind, haven't forgotten that good dog. Yeah...I am going to try to behave myself and not overdo it with the animals. Shelby wants a horse, I want a few cows, and Ian wants a Llama. I already have the chickens, and I wouldn't mind having a few sheep to train Tip on for fun, eventually. So..y'all might be getting some snow in with the clouds rolling in? Maybe you could send us some snow, that way we can have some days off, sleep late, not have to rush off to school...yeahhhh...

As far as Tip goes...well she is just happy being Tip. She and I are back into our regular routine. She rides with me in the truck where ever I may be going. We play out in the yard, she keeps the squirrels at bay, checks for hawks or neighbors cats bothering the chickens. Keeps our two old cats in line. If one of them so much as thinks about using the carpet or the furniture for a scratching post, I don't have to say a word, she hears a poppin' and she comes a runnin' to get onto them. They have a scratching pad thingie, which Schillochi uses regularly, its Kitten she has to get onto mostly. Yep, we are back in the old routine, kinda nice. Send us some snow when you get a surplus...looking forward to it actually...:)

This land has a barn and a house on it. Actually a manufactured home, which would be home til we built on the land. Go to, click on MLS listings and then look on the right under New Search and click on Listing Numbers, then put in this number: 1516608. There are several pics. We will see what is what when I get out there...have to see it to decide..
