I have a bed of day lilies I want to dig up and use some of the bulbs (corms, or whatever they're called) and start another bed.
Any suggestions?

They're not real delicate. Wait til after the blooms are done, that's late August in my area, and dig 'em up. Separate with a knife or shovel as needed. Check for rot or fungus, and don't plant any that show signs of it. I've actually dusted with sulfur before planting, but that may be overkill.

Dig em up, cut the stems short, separate the bulbs real good. I planted some like that last year around this time and they bloomed in the spring. Up there they may wait a year due to the cold. Good luck

I'm going to put some in the bed under the sign for our campground. It now has tiger lilies in it but these come along after the tiger lilies are gone by and last a long time.
