John F. Kerry has said many times that he has a plan, but can anyone please tell me what it is?

tortmort    Posted 10-30-2004 at 18:39:00       [Reply]  [Send Email]
Kerry will say anything to get elected. "I have a plan..." When he is in Detroit he brags about his "big SUVs" but when he is in front of tree huggers on the east coast "those are not my SUVs they belong to my family." Our troops support Bush 3 to 1 this is a fact. Polls done in prison show that convicts support Kerry
3 to 1. Let us give our brave troops the leader they want and deserve. Bush!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you go to his website and read his plans? He seems to have plans.
Not that I care about it..
I'm not interested in politics at all.

Oh, my hands up    Posted 10-30-2004 at 15:53:17       [Reply]  [No Email]

Bush don't encourage jobs in America. He thinks outsource is the only way to fly.

Contrary to what some ratwingers have posted in this thread, Bill Clinton headed the lowest unemployment record in America, he also produced the 1st ever balanced budget.

Under Clinton crime dropped, average individual income went up, and more people were lifted from poverty than ever before, the welfare rolls shrank and education truly meant *no child left behind*.

During Clinton's terms the size of gubermint dropped.

I know the mesmerized folks will say that's baloney but look at the official Whitehouse history at usgov and it backs me up.

If you take a look check out Bush1 and Bush2. What a pair of morons. Looks like history is better on Clinton than it is on either Bush.

Time for you to close up shop, Burr; your credibility is lower that Kerry's.

Burrhead: This post we can have some fun with? Clinton and republican congress balanced each other at times- neither could get their worst ideas passed, the best ideas only could get bypartisan support or vote trades to pass, balance budget acts,NAFTA- still had had some political pork. Government shrunk? As in army? Government staffing down when republican congress trimmed staffing from Democrats while keeping their own staffs at previous lower level- Good PR, didn't get around to increasing later. Y2K worries increased IT staffing at business, better paid programmers bought more consumer goods, Silicon valley companies rode even higher on personal spending, stock market rose in IT sector stocks. Collapse after 2000 to be expected- not mainly Clintons fault, just as 1997/99 economy/stock boom not his credit. Non enforcement of Beck procedures - Clinton stopped Bush1 rules by presidentle order about 3rd week in office? Waco incident? Janet Reno following Bills or Hillary's orders? Crime dropped? Shall issue concealed carry laws and somewhat better economy not under Bill C control might be better statement. Remeber his trying to take credit for Floridas 20% decrease in crime? Today(?) Show interviews with prisoners Florida jails indicated local street crooks so nervous about armed locals they were attacking tourists that weren't armed. Local jail rules on filming had Sherriffs office getting raw copy of film- became public record if not ongoing trial- Today show did lot of editing and out of context statements, contridicted by raw, unedited footage, Katie Couric asked about contrary statements- shut up and refused to answer. Today show cameras laughed at now in Florida among law enforcment. This posting should be clean enough not to get a skillet. Got a story about IT industry in old Egypt and the pyramids- explains wall scratchings and desert. May already be posted someplace- like Dave Barry. RN.

BurrHead; What possible reason could Bush have for outsourcing jobs??? That doesn't make sense to me. Could explain more about that.

BurrHead, I have just two words to help you understand the economy being what it was in the 90's... Bill Gates

Burr... what makes me suspicious of anyone degrading the opposition (Bush's) is when extreme examples of intelligence or lack of is used. If Clinton were so smart why would a brillant lawyer, and he is, go into a public office, the oval office is a public office, and get sex, no that's right it wasn't sex. By the way Burr can you tell me what he got was??? Don't bother with that answer. Can you imagine if Bill Clinton had presented that case before his law professors in law school. I'll bet he would have flunked that class. Oh, that;s right Bell Clinton is brilliant. His poor judgement is what got him into trouble and we don't need a president who exhibits poor judgement.

This will bring on a fire storm, I know. Oh, well. I'm laid up with a broken leg for a month and nothing else to do.

I admit that the Republicans could have nominated a better candidate then W. but I know I could not, if I were a democrat vote for Clinton. I am just not that loyal to a party where I didn't have a hand in the selection process. Sorry about the long post. I'm sure many of you are too.

I jsut hope that our political process doesn't let us down again.

Burrhead    Posted 10-30-2004 at 19:34:27       [Reply]  [No Email]
no fire storm here oslo.

On morals Clinton is barbaric on smarts he's top shelf.

Scrub don't even have that much going for himself.

Did you catch the news and see that Scrub is wearing a wire to be sure somebody with enough smarts answers anything he gets asked now.

He had it for the debates and still looked like a moron.

oslo again    Posted 10-30-2004 at 19:57:23       [Reply]  [Send Email]
Burr, I agree Clinton is one of the smartest (IQ) presidents that we've ever had, but Adali Stevenson (circ 50's) couldn't make it. and he was brilliant too. Do you know that some people in Mensa (IQ club) can't hold down a job. The point is that it takes more than brillance to be smart. I know what your saying, Burr, It is sad that we the voting public have to make excusses for our man in Washington. We all do it, both sides. It's sad. But that is the process they set up for us to go by.

butttt    Posted 10-30-2004 at 19:01:30       [Reply]  [No Email]
we had a republican congress that kept the purse strings tight, not the free spenders we have today on both sides. Course, Clinton hitting my SS with a tax didn't make me feel any too good,
he sure didn't take a cut

Burrhead    Posted 10-30-2004 at 19:15:49       [Reply]  [No Email]
yeah but ole Slick Willie did shut the gubermint down 3 different times until them spendy ratwing boys would meet him in the middle on the budget.

I was noticing with Scrub the SS went up 1.3% on benefits but the coverage dropped by 20%. Then his next 17% premium increase hit fairly hard too.

Now with this new prescription drug coverage some if not most medicine is cheaper to buy out right than to pay the co-pay under this plan.

If you look at John Asscrack and Bush contributions from pharm manufacturers I can see why the ratwing leaders think it's a good plan.

Then when you consider Frisk is 50% owner of the largest for-profit health provider in the world I can see why he rushed it thru the process.

ret    Posted 10-30-2004 at 20:29:16       [Reply]  [No Email]
SS going up 2.3% this year, and as for the 17% raise in medicare costs, that was enacted under law years ago.There has to be so much of a raise acording to some kind of schedule. We do agree, way too much spending by the repubs, but guess they got it from the demorats. No, democrats, I will keep it civil

`Lenore    Posted 10-30-2004 at 16:30:42       [Reply]  [No Email]
The national unemployment statistics for right now are, 5.4% unemployment.
That is lower than the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.
There will never be 0.0% unemployment, there will always be some people having to change their resume' to fit the job needs and there will always be an eliment that are unemployed and like it that way.
Do you really think Kerry is a magician and will be able to make more jobs except beaurocrat jobs. I am sure if elected he would create more government and consequently more "jobs".

bob    Posted 10-30-2004 at 17:27:46       [Reply]  [No Email]
One way we can recreat jobs is put a high enough tarriff on imported goods that they will have to start manufactoring in good old USA. We cannot give in and not have jobs and give all money to other countrys. Id we had a war on home ground who would supply us our enemy.Only person getting rich on Usa soil is the CEO,s. WE do not have to be nice to them as old saying Customer is allaways right. sorry for long post

mojo    Posted 10-30-2004 at 17:16:13       [Reply]  [No Email]
Three and a half years ago I lost my job; why? There were a dozen companies building alot of machines to sell to a limited number of people. After flooding the market no one was buying anymore, no matter how attractive the incentives. Now there are only a couple three companies operating at a third of what they were doing, and folks are replacing worn out machines. Politics had NOTHING to do with it.

Now let's talk about Reagans pipeline embargo, that was political, as was Carters grain embargo. So presidents can influence employment somewhat, but not to the extent that some people think. About the onliest way to increase employment is for them to hire directly like Roosevelt did. We don't need more Government. I'm sticking with President Bush.

RN    Posted 10-30-2004 at 16:46:36       [Reply]  [No Email]
Jobs? Remember it's Democrats Rangel and Hollings calling for draft return. Kerry said need 40,000 more troops in army=40,000 more jobs from draft. Add 'national service' for college grants and more jobs there- no wage estimates given. Job generation for lawyers sueing companies that Dems target for special legislation- watch out Tyson and timber companies. More compliance inspecters? RN

oslo again    Posted 10-30-2004 at 19:26:38       [Reply]  [Send Email]
RN; Rangle brought up the bill to return the draft. But guess who did not vote for his own bill? Could there have been a politcal motive there????

RN    Posted 10-30-2004 at 19:45:29       [Reply]  [No Email]
Rangels motive for the draft bill was to cause political embarrassment for republicans. When republican congress called his bluff and had a vote, he figured some of his constituants might vote against him or other democrats, didn't vote for own bill. Note: Rangel biography indicates army service Korea? College education under G.I bill. RN.

If you read the history of the US from the beginning the citizen did not look to the USG to manufacture jobs for the people. Industrious individuals created jobs.George Westinghouse . Alexander G. Bell. Eli Whitney. Sam Colt. Few jobs are invented or created by politicians unless the funding comes out of others pockets. WHERE ? are the creative industrious Americans? Those who make attempts to institute industry are regulated and taxed into near poverty.So they move elsewhere.

Clod    Posted 10-30-2004 at 17:13:22       [Reply]  [No Email]
Why not just list it this way.ALL AMERICANS. Or is the others not favored but only considered taxpayers? >>>>>>>>>>>>> Kerry-Edwards communities share a common desire to improve education, attain access to affordable health care, create jobs, work towards a cleaner environment and a safer America:

* African Americans
* Hispanics/Unidos con Kerry
* Asian Pacific Islanders
* More...

* Women
* Veterans
* Students
