I am not sure what you know and don't know so I will tell what little I know. Both Parents have to be registered. The people you bought here from will have the infomation needed to registered your heifer.

I use to register my Polled Herefords but there wasn't much of a market for them in NY. Common response was you can't eat the papers.

Do you have to declare a party affiliation for her? I think they've registered a few household pets in Florida, but I haven't heard of any farm animals.

Yes, I believe I'm still a member of the American Jersey Cattle Club. We still have our tattoo set (you have to tattoo an ear of the calf).
