Alias    Posted 11-02-2004 at 01:46:43       [Reply]  [No Email]
I laid down early last evening and I've been up since 3. It's a curse, I tell ya. This thing of not being able to sleep more than 5 hours at one time is bad, bad, bad.

Abraham Lincoln once said, "Man should work 8 hours, study 8 hours and, sleep 8 hours. But, I don't think he was referring to older folks. For, Now I find it hard to do anything for 8 full hours. However, I vagely recall my younger years when I would work all week and run-a-round every night until there came a point when I'd sleep for as much as 18 or 20 hours. Of course, in those days I was equipped with a 48 hour bladder.

When the polls open, you can find me at the Dublin, Md. Elementary School. Our area will vote overwhelmingly vote for President Bush. But, in the Pueblos of Baltimore, Annapolis and the DC surburbs, the vote will go strictly Democrat. I don't like the idea of people in crowded neighborhoods deciding how the state will carry but, that's the system and I'm not going to let it get to me. Else, I might come off like some others we know when it comes to politics. Y'all know who I mean.

Went to the dentist again yesterday. I should have had my plates by now, but, the fellow that first started taking impressions didn't do a very good job. Fortunately for me, he was dismissed and in his place, I'm seeing a very nice young woman dentist, (Prosthodontist), that has started from scratch. And, I must say, she has gone to much more detailed fitting proceedures than the first guy. Besides, she is better looking, with a exceedingly pleasant personality and on top of that, she's a registered Republican. What more could one ask of anyone that puts her fingers in your mouth?

Now, all you eligible republican voters get out and go to the pools. And, all democrats, if like myself, you don't trust Kerry, are invited to also attend. However, to the rest of you, if you can't do something good for the country, stay home. ........gfp

Mornin Alias.....just finished chores here. Yep it's a crying shame that age don't work backward. I'd a been happy being born at 90 and work my way back down to 2 or 3. Never saw a contract that said life was gonna be fair so I just live it day by day..... and thank the Lord for not being inna hole lookin up at dirt. Go easy and have yerself a grand old day......keep an eye peeled for a smile from a pretty girl and you'll do fine. :^)

Didja hear the one about the little old woman in the nursing home that entered the rec room?

Well, she held a clinched fist in the air and announced that if any man could guess what she was holding, he could have s&x with her all night. One old gentleman said it's an elephant. The old gal thought a minute and shouted CLOSE ENOUGH.

Morning Alias, & Les. Time chnge has me a bit
confused. can't sleep past 4:00. I'll get used to
it in a day or two. Yep, be joining you at our
local poll area as soon as they open. and I won't

Les    Posted 11-02-2004 at 02:26:07       [Reply]  [No Email]
Well, Gene, it looks like there's little doubt which way your state will go. Same for Alias, except his goes in the opposite direction.
As for my state, both candidates have spent a lot of money to try to get our 4 votes into their column. Last time we were a red island in a sea of blue. In the last 4 years, a lot more flatlanders have moved in so we'll probably be a blue state this year. ":^(

I have to take my uncle Toņo and titi Luisa to vote this morning. Although this week's polls showed my party is 5 points ahead of theirs I thought I shouldn't be taking chances. So..yesterday while coming back from a doc's appointment I tried and painted some bad scenarios in the voting school, for two eightysomething guys who can barely walk...?nawwhh it didn't work.
We are leaving home at

Have a great day you all!
