my neighbors had been childhood sweathearts. jay retired 3 years ago. together they bought another farm 1/2 mile from their home. they worked hard side by side and built a fine place from what was once a run down overgrown eyesore.

they went from their home to their farm several times a day. always together, and accompanied with dogs and grandchildren. we often spoke with one another up at the road.

lilly took ill very suddenly. her hospital stay was short. she passed on from complications of stomach cancer on nov. 1 st. after less than a week.

it has been very hard on jay. please include him and his loved ones in yours prayers.

God bless Jay and his family.
I am sure her passing was a great shock and loss for him and the family.
I can't help but think of my little neighbor lady.
I know she would have prefered to go quickly like that than the slow lingering death she is experiencing.
Death when it comes quickly leaves loved ones in shock and unprepared.
Slow lingering death wears everyone concerned out.
Neither way is easy on the loved ones left behind.
I will be remembering them in my prayers.

The death of a good long time neighbor hurts almost as much as a family member. God bless jay, and you too for being such a caring friend.

They're both in my prayers...this seems too close to home.

Life is so good, I always fear something like this will happen to me, and doubt I'd be strong enough to handle it.

May God help us all get through this life.

Tom
