Never thought it would leave my place this way but it just did on a Wrecker Truck to a Wrecking Yard. He has only a few days (about 15-20) now after the DMV contacts him and it will be auctioned off. I hope I have enought to buy it back if it ends up this way. Sad seeing it go down the road but maybe it will come back home again. Mark H.

They said they would switch plates at the border. So it is on the way up north! Mark H.

Mark, I hope you're able to at the very least recover your legal expenses from the sale. What puzzles me is why the buyer should be mad at you. It seems like you did all you were supposed to do. I have one question, was the wagon sold on ebay?

Good Luck..........gfp

Willy-N    Posted 11-11-2004 at 15:08:55       [Reply]  [No Email]
Yes it was sold on EBay to a Doctor in North Carolina. I live on the West Coast so it had a long ways to go shipping wise. He paid in a bunch of US Postal Money Orders in full. Even then he was not wanting to pay me in full till I said I would list it again, he wanted the title first and I said NO WAY! Mark H.

Well the guy paid for the Power Wagon but would never pick it up?? Cost me allmost $700.00 to a lawyer to get him found and admit he bought it. 60 days went by and he still never contacted me. He contacted the lawyer and said he was mad but still the 60 days went by? I have had it at my place paid for since August 15th 2003 f last year! So I had it impounded as a abandon vehical today. If he still does not pick it up in 15-20 day being notified by the DMV it is up for auction and I will be bidding on it to get it back. This is the only way I could settle the matter. Mark H.

I can't help but wonder what kind of nut that guy is. To buy your cool truck, pay for it and never come to get it!?? I know you even offered to ship it to him and he refused. Strange, strange person.

Some Doctors are strange??!! Mark H.

strangest doctor i ever met was pacing around a hangar at boeing field in seattle. he'd just flown his OWN JET from back east that morning, and was chewing on a cigar, debating whether the world's fair over the hill was worth attending. i took it as some kinda demonstration of snobbery but i never could figure out if he was bored or bragging or what.

Ya that is kind of what this guy acts like. He seems to think he is special and the world goes around him. He even lied to the lawyer but did not relise I kept the EMails to prove I sent them and what he said in return. I felt funny from the begining but went along with the sale after he paid. Then the weird stuff started! Mark H.

Now I remember!

Sorry to bring up that 'stink' again...

For what it is worth...IMHO you went above and beyond the call of duty...

Now if you get a deal buying it back more power to you!

Salmoneye,

Thanks some don't think that way but I did not know what to do about it anymore. He still has one more chance to do it. Mark H.

Burrhead    Posted 11-11-2004 at 14:44:49       [Reply]  [No Email]
what the heck did he get mad about Mark??

Willy-N    Posted 11-11-2004 at 14:55:28       [Reply]  [No Email]
Because I wanted $5.00 a day storage fees to take care of it after I did it for free for allmost 4 months. Now I am in the whole more than $700.00 in Lawyer fees dealing with him. I am the one MAD now! Mark H.

can't say as I blame you. I do'nt like to work for nothing or to spend money either one.

Here's a pic from the batman site I figgered you might like. These boys are all from the SW Loozeeaner and SE Texas area.

One of my dearest podnuhs son CW2 Strothers(the one with shades on top of head). There are 2 or 3 of his son's in Afghan and Iraq now plus 2 nephews.

This boy flys an Apache most of the time and has'nt been shot down but once so far while he was going in to cover some grunts that got out flanked.

They have some good pix at www.flybatman.com if you like to see our modern equipment.

Hope you have a good day and don't worry about that lawyer. He needs the money for his kids laig operation.

Looks like a real good get together! I never had bottled water in Vietnam, you put little pills in it when you had to drink any except from our compound and they treated it there! Mark H.

Burrhead    Posted 11-11-2004 at 15:25:04       [Reply]  [No Email]
yeah we had some red ones and some white ones. Here while back Steve was telling me which was which but I still don't remember. I know that either of them made the water taste really really good. not

One of the water companies (I think maybe Ozarka)sends all the water they will ship and another company pays for alot if not all of the telephone calls from the boys back to their families.
