the Veitnam war end? When did we pull our troops out?

Kraig has it right. I think the "official" year was 1975. You can go on the American Legion's website and that will tell you the dates of eligibility for membership in that organization. That should give you a more precise answer. I think it was in April of 1975 but don't take that to the bank.

They Vietnam war ended in 1973 with a cease fire that kept the NVA out of Vietnam, we pulled all the troops out then except for a few security for the embansy. In 1975 after Nixon was out of office and they knew the democrats wouldn't let ford respond, the North attacked again taking over the country.
