Guess ya'll all know by now I am in Arkansas...Most everyone around here that raises beef cattle goes to Texas and gets them...brings them here for about 8 months or 800 pounds ...then takes them to Mo.? Is that prices higher they get for them up there???
Seems like a long way to travel but if the profit was big enough it would be worth it...KAtG

I don't think there are any feed yards in Arkansas. Must be some in Missouri or else they comingle them there and ship them to feedyards.

At 800lbs they are selling backgrounded cattled. From there they still need to go to a feedyard for finishing.
