I just came into a pile of books on the Civil War. Not my thing, so anyone interested can have 'em for the postage. I have cataloged the novels/biographies/references/diarys (see the link) and will be working on the photo album/coffee table stuff after my BiL gets done picking through them.

Well, it sounds like I am far down on the list but I would certainly be willing to pay for the shipping for all of the books. Email me at bwoodardATrjtconsultingDOTcom

As a side note, the book by Mary Chesnut is a very interesting read. I should know, she is my great grandmother 5-6 times over on my mother's side.

Well, I'd kinda like ta spread the wealth a little, but if after a resonable period there's a bunch left, it's yerz.

Dunno what book rate is, but we're talking about three BIG boxes here, prolly near on a hunnerd pounds.

Hey Fawteen!! I will be glad to arm-wrestle Clipper for the copy of Cold Mountain if that's what it takes to get it! [jumping up and down and waving my hand in the air] The Other Civil War, by Catherine Clinton and A Diary From Dixie, by Mary Chestnut sound good too.

My email is above. I don't think I've got your email unless it is posted on your website, which I have saved somewhere. I'll be glad to take any one, two or all three of these.

When you mail books, as long as there is no letter, card, note, ANYTHING in the package other than the book or books, you write "Media Mail" on the outside of the package and it goes for about half the rate that weight would normally be. If you add a note or letter, you have to declare it and give them another 37 cents for it. We've been mailing lots of cookbooks for the Ladies Auxiliary lately and this is how it works. The Post Office says that your package can be opened and inspected and they better not find a note or letter if ya don't pay the extra stamp worth.
