Some of the previous posts have talked about accidents that they have had, well I might as well unload mine. I took a step to the side in the yard several weeks ago. Nothing unusual, but my foot must have turned sideways and when I fell I knew I was in trouble, looked down at my foot and my heel was where my toes should have been. Turned completely around. Didn't cry like a baby, but wanted to. You know, we men have an image to protect. I was hopping around, figuring that the cast meant that I could do anything. Well a friend of ours is a retired Dr. who gave me the riot act. The gist of it is. You don't glue two pieces of wood together and clamp it the proceed to use it before the glue dries. So, I,m cutting back on my activities. No more cutting and mulching leaves. It was tough emptying the leaf bags, anyway.

Concerning an unrelated medical problem. Do any of you have a problem with your hands called Dubytrans Contractures? It's a problem where your tendons get a grouth, pea size. The result is that your fingers, begining with your little finger, begin drawing up into a clinched position and won't straighten out. It's a heredatory (sp) problem. It's not painful, but eventually, left untreated, becomes debillitating. Both of my hands have been done and now I'm fine. If any of you have or know of someone who does I can give you some advice. Treat it early. If done so it's a breeze, Let it go and it is Heck, pure Heck.

I Don't usually talk about myself, but it's not hard on this forum. Should you get tired of my posts, demand that my wife take over for me. She is the one you want to talk to anyway. Much more fun. She is a Southern Lady (gal). I, in fun, tell her that she can tell someone to go to heii and make them feel good going there. That is an ultimate complement. She is sthe greatest thing that ever happened to me. She talks to people from all over the world. She talks to a young man from Iran, of all places. He is from a wealthy class and if you read his posts you would swear that he was a local boy. His parents are just as nice. It seems to me that it's the Iranian government that's the problem, not the people. Kinda like this country.

Ya'll have a great day and take care.

i found out there's a trick to that southern sweet talk - get them gals going and they can ream yer cavity, cuss you up one side & down the other, chew you up, spit you out, hang your flimsy carcass up to dry and knock you flatter than a dead turtle's beehind, but they'll always end the tirade with "bless his heart" :)

Morning Oslo, take it easy and get the foot better, you still have lots of walking to do so make it compfortable. The people of Iran had a much better life when the Shaw was in power I think. Thta's the feeling I get from the ones I talk to anyway.

Good point about the boy, Oslo.....grubermints are the problem, not the of my dearest dreams is to put the leaders of the countrys at war, in a ring and let them fight it out....would certainly make them a lot more eager to iron things out, instead of sending the common people out to get killed for the leaders arrogance! have a good one, R.E.L.
