Good Fall Morning to everyone!

Just checking in. Been really busy around here lately and I've really missed reading the posts.

Quick update on the chickens hatched July 30th. The final count of hen vs roosters........2 roosters and 5 hens! Grandma's egg trick worked pretty well! Thought I had put one rooster in the incubator, but apparantly Grandma's a bit more experienced at it than I am. Still not a bad hatch. They are growing like bad weeds, but they are all my babies. "Penguin" still hops up on the shoulder as soon as I open the henhouse door. No more predator problems, thank God.

We've been blessed with venison this year and we're looking forward to processing this weekend. Hope all the other hunters are doing as well. Sure helps the grocery bill! Our son helped dress out for the first time this year. Bless his heart, kinda green when he came in, but Dad said he did great. He's got my heart when it comes to animals.

Well, just wanted to check in and say, "Howdy!"
Gotta a big list of TO DO's for today. Gotta run.

Y'all be good and be good to each other. We're all blessed this holiday season!
