okay we've all forgot something on an outing right? and it was pretty important but of course we had to get along.

you know how sometimes you read something so sad yer shoulders start shaking and you have to step outside ta keep from embarassing the poster? i mentioned hiking way the heck back in once, only to find we had 3 coffeepots and no coffee. and for years i thought that was about as dumb as a hunting party could get and still survive. not any more. i think my buddy has me beat: he tried washing camp dishes with gillette foamy cuz it was the closest thing to dish soap they had!:)

Bringing shaving cream is itself the dumbest thing I have ever heard of for a back-country pack-in trip...

Even if you were there for 3 months, do ya really thing 'shaving' is at the head of the 'to-do' list???

Maybe it's just me, but the Coffee is WAY more important than a regular shave...Especially when hunting...

In your case a hard hat should be high on the priority list too!

Right! I just found out that there's no coffee in the kitchen ( or Patria put it somewhere where I didn't look..)
Haven't shaved in two weeks...

Gerrit, if I don't have coffee, the last thing on my jittery mind is shaving. So, if i'm in the woods without coffee, I'm going to be heading for the store. Sorry Les, we all have our weaknesses.

when a handful of us yankee families was stationed overseas and somebody had a home trip coming up, it was common courtesy to sorta ask around if anybody wanted you to bring something back. after a year on substitutes, our list was bulky but easy - bring all the ketchup and ivory soap you can carry. some stuff you just flat miss. :)

But here I sit with a hot cup of coffee and a nice warm fire...

When you make coffee in the car, do you run it throught the radiator into the heater??
Oh never mind you don't need heaters do ya?
