I posted about the chickens below!! I do get my chicken feed from an old time feed store, and various other things. I know it cost more there, but I was just looking for an excuse to go in and show off one of my chickens! LOL!

Do you think having my girls sleep in their nest box is a problem? I do have a roost for them but they like to snuggle in their nest box at night. The younger two sit on top. I have my chickens in a cyclone 7.5' X 13' dog kennel at night, during the day they have a big yard as well. Inside the dog kennel I have a rabbit hutch with the two nest boxes, the older hens sleep in there and lay in there, the younger two roost on top. I have another nest box on top but they just roost on the edge of it.

about 14 hours of daylight to keep a hen laying, and have a temp not much under 45 degrees. YOU don't get that much daytime this time of year where you live.
