Since about 1953, all the cousins on my father's side have been gathering for Thanksgiving. There are 12 of us. Over the years, the tribe has increased geometrically. I'm not sure how many there would be if all of them were there. Usually there are 70 or 80. This year, only about 50 will make it.
My mother is the only one left from her generation. Dad and his sisters and their spouses have been gone for many years.

My family is huge!
My dad had ten brothers and sisters, and they all had big families. My mom had eight, and they had smaller families, though. When I was growing up my mom would make a Christmas party every year for them all, from both sides! The party would start at mid-day and lasted to the wee hours. She had presents for all the kids too.
It's really nice that you can get together and get updated about everyone's lives.
Have fun, Lester!

We have seen it go from a high of about 40 in the late 70's to about 20 on a 'good' year now...
