Hope you and wife are okay this morning...thise deer can be something...I hit one in a big old Chry. New Yorker one foggy, cold night in Southeast Texas...Before I met MAtt and in between my best friend with me and we had been a nipping...after I hit the deer or rather she hit me...parked on the side of the road and we got that doe and put her in the trunk...took her home and dressed her out...My car just had liablity so got the meat out of the ordeal at least...
If ya'll are hurting anywhere go onto the doctor and get checked out...Got to take care of toolman and the wife...Let us hear how ya'll are...KAt

Glad you guys are all OK. The Explorer can be fixed. Seen quite a few dead deer on the side of the hwy. the last few weeks.

Once you get all the new hardware on, have them install a cow-catcher!
A local company is making REAL brushguards, their but-ugly but they will deflect a deer, maybe not at 70mph, but better than nothing.
Glad it wasn't worse and I wouldn't worry a bit about the doe. Next year there'll be 1 ana 1/2 to take her place.

Tough one Toolman, thank God it wasn't worse. Still have the war wound on the safari from 2 weeks ago when a doe hit the side running out of a cutline. We got them here too, too many.Dan in AB

Toolman, sorry to hear about that but glad you and wife are ok. Jenny and i didnt get in until after dark tonight but saw 4 deer on the side of the road comming home. As a rule i try to get home before dark but was running late tonight. It was raining and cold so we were on the alurt. I only drive about 45 on these country roads at night and about 50 in daytime.I know i make a lot of people mad driving slow and get the finger a lot but i say to myself you should have left earler. I hope you wont be to sore in the morning and sorry about the car but that can be fixed but Mr and Mrs Toolman is a diffront story. Later James
