the days will be getting longer and in another month, it'll be real noticeable. Then the seed catalogs will start coming and hope will be renewed.

Ya in about 5-6 months I will plow up the garden to start getting ready for planting again. We plant around middle to late to May here or the late frost will kill the garden. So I still have a while to get ready for planting time and picking out seeds!! Mark H.

hey Les, I have a head start on HOPE. Because, I received my very first seed catalog in yesterdays mail. It is still in my truck but it is all about tomato seeds.

Now, it's entirely too soon to be getting the winter doldrums. See me again in mid February when I no longer have hair.........gfp

Another 90 days and steam will be in the air...

Made Maple Butter (cream) a few days ago...Getting ready to make some chocolates with Maple Butter and Hickory Nut centers for the holidays...

Do you sell any of yer maplebutter? If so, could ya email me with some details?

I bought some from Dakin Farms last year, and it was not great. Not to mention that the price about gave me a cardiovascular event...

Something like $25 with shipping and handling for an 8oz jar of truly mediocre stuff.

I have not sold anything by mail at all, and have not sold alot locally...

I have given lots of syrup to people, and donated some to charity auctions and raffles...Most of what I have left will get used for presents and confections this season, and for baked beans this winter...

Your best bet is to get some locally...There HAS to be someone in your area that makes it...If not, buy a quart of syrup and make your own...

Not that hard (takes a while though) and way cheaper than buying the finished product...

I just looked at the 'machine' so that you don't have to stir by hand...It is only $1000, so everyone should have at least one...
