Hi Toolman, how are things following your deer/truck mishap. I hope you and your wife are ok.

I went back and looked at what you wrote in response to my comments concerning Clipper. Well sir, you may be right. At some point in time I may fall subject to an attack. But, you know what, I won't let it bother me. I make a few well meaning remarks from time to time but I've toned my retoric to the point of near boredom. Why, well, let's just say that I've enjoyed my time here, getting to know a little something about some really good people. People such as yourself and Cindi and Kelly and Fern and Lenore and both Donnas, and the list goew on and on.

But, you guys are not my life. You are a welcome part of it but my real life is here on my side of the monitor screen. So, what am I to do? Get upset over something that someone 1, 2 or 3 thousand miles might say about me. Sorry, I don't think so. I suggest we all just try to get along and play nice.......gfp

my feelings exactly, I like this forum but, like you and most others, I too have a life. We all gotta live in this world and we gotta co-exist even in this cyber-world.
I was wondering, is there a reason you chose alias as a handle or did it just seem to fit.

Well Ron, when I first arrive here, I noticed that several poster, like yourself, used their state in their screen name. And, many more, like Clod and Burrhead, just used fictictous names. So, not knowing where this would lead I decided to use an alias. But, which one? I mused over it for a moment and decided to settled for...Alias

My real name is George and I live in Maryland.

Clod, I'm in Fl. too and the only way I've ever heard the term Clodhopper used before is in reference to shoes. Either that or the word Brogans. Sorry for jumping in here...your explanation of how you got your name just struck me as funny : )

The only one I argue with on this board is my pal Burrhead. But as I am at study on geothermal dynamics I hardly have time to argue about politics and economics any more.Besides , Like Mr Shakespeare says.>> A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.<< I'm going back to my books.

Hey Clod, who owns Cameron Iron Works? We used to do business with them years ago in Lafayette La.

The tax collector is my guess Ron.They have liittle going on over there in recent years. The one in Baytown is owned by folks from Idia I was told. They do Hindu things on the iron I hear. But this was news from a Union iron worker.Who knows for sure.Hey,,Its getting cooler now. I might wander off.See ya later if I go places.
