I just counted the Cliff Swallow nests on my buildings this morning. I have 102 of them so far! That figures out to be at least 200 Swallows and they are still building them. My place looks like the movie "The Birds" outside. I figure that if they each have average of 3 babys per nest that will be another 600 birds and add that to the parents should be around 800 of them soon. We never had this many befor!! Bugs are going to be ate this year. I still have many other types of birds nesting around the place and the Red Wing Blackbirds haven't even arrived yet. Blue birds have about 10 nests so far and there are about 20 ducks on the Lake too. Going to be a good year if this is a hint of what is still to come. Any one else have this many around there place? Mark H.

We've got 'em under every bridge in the area. Took the boat out yesterday and drove under a bridge and got dive-bombed! But I do like to watch 'em.

We don't have any. I guess that's the type bird that hangs around the bridges though. Plenty of 'em at every bridge. They sit in the road. Looks like they don't have legs when sitting.

Was glad I did not have any starling nests on the house. Could not see any either but they kept coming up to the eave area. So I stood out and watched they have tore out the vent screens on the blocks and are making nests up in my attic area just inside the hole. I am going to get some heavy screen to cover them befor they lay their eggs. Mark H.

Do you put out Humming bird feeders?

Haven't done that befor but they do hang out around the flowers when they bloom. These birds around here are not fed they live off the land. I do feed once and a while during the winter and at the end if we get a bad late snow storm and the food sourse is covered when the birds are here. Mark H.
