There was a song that said something to the effect.."if we make it through December"...but that is all I can remember of it...It came out when I was a youngster and remember MAmma listening to it and crying...bless her heart...She is 83 now and raised us three kids after my Daddy was killed in the mid 60's....
remember to lend a hand during Christmas to someone that might need it...I have been there and wished someone had...KAtG

Can't take any credit in this one. There's an very old man who lives in a travel trailer a few miles from here. He is having alot of problems getting around. He has a wood stove on the enclosed front porch. He's been seen picking up branches in the woods to burn to keep warm. Last weekend, someone went to a local skid factory and got a pick up load of hard wood cutoffs and piled it next to his porch for him. Left him a box of can goods too.

I don't recall the name of the org., but there is a group that does volunteer work at VA hospitals. This time of year they collect some small gifts and toiletries for VETs who are hospital bound at the holidays. They are getting a donation from me this year.

Every year, I try to make sure that I have done something to help out someone in need. I have been very busy at the office this season. Right now, I'm runnin behind on my quota and I've run out of ideas as well.

Actually, it's been the story of our lives.

If we make it through December
Everything's gonna be all right I know
It's the coldest time of winter
And I shiver when I see the falling snow
If we make it through December
Got plans to be in a warmer town
Come summer time
Maybe even California
If we make it through December
We'll be fine

Got laid off down at the factory
And their timing's not the greatest
In the world
Heaven knows I've been working hard
Wanted Christmas to be right
For daddy's girl
I don't mean to hate December
It's meant to be the happy time of year
And my little girl don't understand
Why daddy can't afford no Christmas here
