~Lenore, I love that song. :) I've only ever heard it by Trisha Yearwood (I think that's who does it), and it always brings me right to tears. Can you imagine the joy and fear and love and awe Mary must have felt, to know she was going to rear and raise Jesus Christ? Amazing.
Thanks for all your postings of music... I love Christmas and Christmas music!
BTW... I guess you must not have that one I asked about... the "When Joseph Was An Old Man" song.

I am sorry I did not respond,
my daughter drug me off on a little trip to Dallas.
I did not have it, I did look.

I always check for any songs that folks ask about.
Sometimes I may not respond because of time.
You can bet if I find it I will play it!!

Have you ever heard it? That's another of the three Christmas songs that will make me bawl. The last one (not a request; I have it on tape) is "The Little Drummer Boy" by the Simeon Chorale. The way those women portrayed so much love and awe in the last line of that song always chokes me right up. :)
