Handcuffing a little girl for bringing scissors to school...suspending another for "look-alike" jello shots...discharging young men for scrounging armor! Where is this country headed? It's about time the folks in charge turn things around before it's too late. And that's not even mentioning that here in California it takes a minimum of 16 years to appeal a death sentence or how much all of the above is costing taxpayers!

Rant over.

Reason & logic has left many. Perhaps many are not reading that Bible, you think?

I'm wondering who identified those items as "look alike" jello shots. I'm in my sixth decade and haven't heard of them before. Did the students expect them to contain alcohol? Did only the faculty know they were "look alike"? As others have commented, a Coke is a "look alike" can of beer. Mountains from mole hills.

That incident happened in Philadelphia, which is a democrat stronghold, if there ever was one. The bluest part of an unfortunatly blue state.

Your comment is ill-informed and unfounded.

Find some other group to blame and demonize for this mess.

We are slouching toward Gamorrah.

It all lies in responsibility and accountability.

Parents are no longer teaching children responsibility and holding them accountable for their actions.

And unfortunately, it's because the parents aren't responsibile and don't want to be held accountable for their own actions.

"It's not my fault." Bull Crap.

Stand up. Grow a backbone. Take your lashes.

Keep Ranting!

EJ, as long as there are parents like you in the world, there will always be people coming up through the generations with common sense who will hold this mess together. The best we can do is raise our own children (and any other kids within our care) to be intelligent, common-sensical and moral, and that is the bottom line. So yes indeedy, keep ranting... and protect your kids.

when did we the voters not be the people in charge? i hope we haven't forgotten this last election. trend is headed back to common sense, if we keep the pressure on.

Yes, we the voters are supposed to be in charge, but when we vote for something it doesn't always work like we wanted it to. Like I said, here in California, we voted for the death penalty. We thought that meant if you were sentenced to death that the state had to execute you! 650 people are on death row! Not one execution in 20 years! A MINIMUM of 16 years for an appeal process! The next person on the list to die has been on death row for 20 years! We are in charge?
