Recipe for ants

Once upon a time I had the recipe for a concoction of boric acid powder and 'other stuff' to kill roaches, ants, etc. Of course, now when we're overrun with ants I can't find it. Anyone know what the mix is?

Still RAINING, too!! We must have 6 - 8 inches over the last couple of weeks. A solid 2" last night. Everything's saturated, river's up, creeks are out, road's washed out, nobody's gotten anything planted (fields or gardens). It just won't quit! I've read predictions for a very hot and dry summer so we must be getting every drop of this summer's rain right now!

Thanks for the help. I also finally remembered to look at the archives (I'm not 'slow' or anything) and found a couple of options there, too. Well, that'll take care of the ants. Now, about this #@*?! rain......

Here's what we do for those red ants---Get you some "instant"grits not the long cooking grits. and spread them around the ant hill, the workers will bring the queen the instant grit and she will eat it and the grit will swell up in her and she willexplode - bye-bye ants! Debora in Louisiana. Hate those red ants!

Well the Coke in a piedish works for rats, so I'm anxious to try your recipe for ants. Might just be the ticket! Thanks!

Debora, My mother put some grits on a fireant hill and it's dead now. I gotta give it a try!
