Having attended this institution of higher learning a few year ago, I wonder if they now have a course to help me understand this babble.
Ron

1. " The difficulty in trying to determine a trend in weather is that there is naturally so much variability."

2. "Despite the long-term warming trend and the results of that study, in the last few years we have heard reports of more winter fish kills, thicker ice, and ice covering lakes lasting longer--so go figure. I guess we could say that if it weren't for global warming, the last few winters might have been worse."

3. When asked about the severity of the upcoming winter in regards to ice thickness " All the experts agree .......that we just don't know".

4. " It was an unusual year----the wettest on record for parts of the state. We had remnants from more than one hurricane move through. That could all point to a nasty winter.......But then again, it might not".

I think so Mr. Ron, that I will still put my tyre chains on my taxi's wheels anyway.

True story, though I don't remember the exact name--a famous astronomer was asked to write a 500-word article on whether life exists on Mars. He wrote "nobody knows" 250 times......

Hey Ron..that look like the statements given by our politicians to the press regarding our November 2 still unresolved general elections.

Queen of what!!    Posted 12-17-2004 at 20:23:28       [Reply]  [No Email]
LOL!!

The people are moving on with their lives.

The politicians are making fools of themselves here, and abroad too!

And the comedians are having a ball!

Ron/PA    Posted 12-17-2004 at 20:29:04       [Reply]  [No Email]
Why Queen of PR of course. It's about time we start and bring a little sanity into the picture. Start small but figure on ruling the world by next year.
Yep the comedians are getting alot of free material everywhere you look. Chevy Chase took it a bit over the edge the other night, but there's still lots of fodder out there for the picking LOL
