Guess most of you have heard about it, Cops takes deserving poor children shopping, think they can have $200 to spend. Big writeup in paper last week about it here.
This morning in the paper, a deserving? 7 year old child that got to go shopping with a cop at Walmart, got home that day to find his brand new $1900 miniature ATV stolen from the driveway. His dad said they got it for his birthday, it was the only thing he wanted. Would you say there was something wrong with this program????
My neighbor down the road is a 20 year veteran on the FRED police force, I am sure gonna ask him about this one. I have a hunch there are going to be some repercussions about this family.

Anyone who can buy a kid a $1900 TOY isnt poor, and ( and this is my openion, deserves what they get). My favorite toy was a farm set. Had barn, silo, 2 hog houses, or 1 sheep house as the set came with sheep, a grainery shed, and 2 wire lookin round corn cribs. It also had a working grain elevator, and a pump and trough that was WAY too large to use on the farm. It came with tractor, plow, I think 3 bottom, green, disc, single, red, mower, I think green, dump rake on rubber LOL, wagon, manure spreader, 2 wheeled. I later bought a metal harrow, red, corn planter, 2 row, red, side rake on rubber, red, Combine, pull type, red, made a drill using a piece of wood, wire, and 2 wood looking wheeles off of an frontier wagon. Also had a wood wheeled (looking ) grain wagon with team of horses. Another tractor, looking like a MM, a cardboard bailer from a farm pop out, fold and assemble farm book

Did the ATV get stolen from the cop's house or the "deserving" child? Lots of things could be wrong with this story. From the cop, the kid, and the set-up by either party.

Now I see. I am with you there.

Someone recently asked the question about what was your favorite Christmas present.

I think I will post this as a survey.

See the post above above.
