anyone know a shortcut to making a narrow rope ladder? i have one with tied plastic pipe rungs now but i used hollow-core rope, single rail setup & 1 splice end is downhill so no good..

DC that thing will break and you will hurt yourself. Stick to paddle boats in the winter, much safer.

this won't be much of a ladder - maybe 6 feet long, to dangle down below my 440 Hoyer. that way if the winch jams or i drop in a blizzard where seconds count or house is on fire or something, i still have a way to hand/hand back to vertical and maybe get to a chair or door. i'm not anchor-stable yet, need less and less to get back up, but still helps to have a boost. :)
