The temps are finally getting above freezing and staying there long enough to thaw some of this snow and ice off...Still some on the ground and there is a chill in the air...MAtt's out a splitting firewood...Now we got a chance of rain and possibly more snow later this week...MAtt just shook his head said a four letter word and went back out...
Took down our decorations yesterday and got a chance to wash our coveralls...been having to use them evertime we went outside...which is most of the time ...especially for MAtt...
James let me know what the doctor says...It is something they may can do with meds...
I have been missing seeing ya'll the last day or so...things around here were hectic with this snow..Cows faired fine..
Well I will check in later..Got to go do some household stuff before it is a milking time...
The dairy farmer that is going to AI our cow says that the mucas is not a sure sign that Ellie is in heat...That she will walk the fencelines and beller??? Also hold her tail funny???
How am I going to know this cow is rady to breed if I can't go by her cycle???...Amos the steer stays in heat all the time so he isn't any help...he is trying to mate with our 4 wheel drive..and the youngest calf finds me exciting...go figure...just 3 months old and already after me..lol..She don't bother MAtt...I told him it was because his size intimadated her and that I was littler and shorter than her when she got up on her back feet...Seems like all the animals are wanting to mate each other or something...Is this strange???...
BAck later folks...Take care...KAtG

Glad to hear it's warming up for you KatG and that your cows are fine. I know you were worried about them. Funny how we worry about our critters more than we do ourselves sometimes : )
