Hi everybody, I'm back from my Holland trip!
Still in the middle of the first ( or second ?? ) jetlag though..
I think I missed at least two nights of sleep over the last couple of days, but my trip was great!
Made lots of pics which I will put online on my website one of these days. No "Holland pics"; only family pics.

Here is the last pic we took at Amsterdam airport just before I left. Both my sisters came to say goodbye:

Happy New Year to all my friends here at Kountry Life!

Gerrit

Welcome home!

I remember that airport;
I had a 40 minute lay over there once
on a very long trip.

Glad you had fun. It seems the only time I take a airplane trip now it is because of a emergency or someone passed on. It would be different to take a flight just for fun! Mark H.

The occassion was good, but the flight was not...
It took me 18 hours from door to door to get there and 24 hours from door to door to get back home again. Yesterday I had a two hour delay in Atlanta and the transfer time was longer than on the trip out in order to be able to clear customs and go through immigration..
I didn't sleep at all on the flights ( normally I can sleep but all flights but the first one from San Juan to Atlanta were packed and it seems they reduce the space between the rows every year..)

But hey, I'm not complaining - it was great!

Today I'm busy again..this time to help 'titi'[aunt]Luisa and uncle Toņo clean their house, I told you before they live across from us. She makes a HUGE deal out of getting her home 'ready' for New Years Eve. I took her shopping a couple of weeks ago for new shower curtains, towels, and mats for the bathrooms. Also bought table cloths, for the dinning table and kitchen table, kitchen towels and the whole nine....So today we are cleaning and changing the old stuff for the new ones. I gave her kitchen a VERY nice cleaning. Now I'm going back there to do the bathrooms and dress'em up in the new attires..

Gerrit is taking a nap now. He brought me two new Holland calendars, some cheese:-), the magazines I asked him to buy for me, the newspapers, and my favorite perfume. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, though...

Anyway...

Happy New Year everybody!!

PS: did you all notice how much Gerrit and his dad look alike?

toolman    Posted 12-31-2004 at 11:02:06       [Reply]  [No Email]

Hey toolman!

Good to see you again! You an Mrs. toolman allright? Did she fully recover from the accident?

Like you read, my trip was great!
I think I passed over the place where you were born - saw lots of snow over eastern Canada from the plane..

Here's another picture, these two are my daughter, Regien (18) and my son, Floris Jan (16).
