We went to my dad and came back home early; Gerrit's sleeping now. My daugter is talking on the phone and I'm here! Not sleepy yet.

Happy new year, Kat!

We are playing a tournament of cribbage, gin rummy, boggle and backgammon. So far, I am in the lead. Got a break for a phone call from the family. Rainy and warm making the snow go away.
Chas, leading the tourney, up here in Maine.

My son's girlfriend made me a lovely pasta dinner, complete with flowers, candles and wine. The husband is in Germany on active duty with the Air Force, so I will be spending the evening with the two kids and hopefully watching the fireworks show at midnight that the city puts on, off of the top of Pikes Peak Mountain. We have a wonderful view from our livingroom even if it is way off in the distance.

I haven't posted here in quite a while, but I saw your reference to Pikes Peak. We have friends that live within site of Pikes Peak, in Woodland Park. Are you familiar with the place?

Just curious

Sure am. I have a great view of Pikes Peak from my farm. I know where Woodland Park is. We are south from there in Falcon.
