I think (HOPE) the freezing rain is over. Just getting sleet right now. I lost power at 11:30 PM and got it back at 2:30 AM. My neighbor, a quarter mile north, lost his power yesterday and was told not to expect it back until Saturday...MAYBE. The wife and I went out this morning in the truck and saw that there are a lot of power lines laying on the ground and trees are down EVERYWHERE. No shortage of firewood now.....if you want to burn elm.

Looks like what we had here in east central wis back in '76. I was out of power for 6 days. The pics you posted look vary familiar. Fortunitly the temp stayed in the mid twenties. Kept my house at 60* using two heaters I took out of junked cars, one which I still had around. Set it outside the house and left it idling. Ran hose in from the car and hooked up the heaters. Necessity is the mother of invention (or at least inventiveness).
Hope you get through this OK.

Had a great time in South Padre one winter.

All that ice hanging on trees and bushes makes for beautiful pictures. And, it'll look even better with the sun shining on it.

It brings to mind Glen Campbell's Whicatah(sp) Lineman. Maybe if we beg and plead, Miss Lenore will play it......gfp
